Binta Akibo-Betts
BINTA AKIBO-BETTS has a career spanning over a decade, having worked in both the private and public sectors, starting her career as a Marketing Officer. In the public sector, she worked for several years as a Policy Adviser. Binta also has experience working as a Consultant with development partners focusing on Stakeholder Engagement and Private-Public Sector liaison. Binta is also an Entrepreneur with business interests in real estate, logistics and marketing. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Fourah Bay College and an MBA from the University of Wales. She is mother to two children and a wife. Her passions include social media, writing, mentorship and philanthropy.

LOSS- LIKE NO OTHER
I have never experienced the death of a close family member. My grandfathers were old when they passed and one of my grandmothers passed when my father was a child. Of course along this thing we call life I have had deaths that have touched me; deaths of relatives, friends, college mates, colleagues etc. However, there is the death of one that is hardly talked about or is hard to categorize.
