We are very pleased to announce that our Founder and Publisher; Ariana Oluwole and other Sierra Leonean trail blazers were awarded as Sierra Leone’s 100 Most Influential Youths and Ambassadors by FePYoCAN in collaboration with the Government of Sierra Leone through the Ministry of Youth Affairs and the National Youth Commission (NaYCom)
The Federation of Patriotic Youth and Child Advocacy Network ( FePYoCAN) Is a national youth organization symbolically embedded across the country.
FePYoCAN introduced West Africa’s first ever print and online youth magazine known as the Sierra Youth Magazine. FePYoCAN through the Sierra Youth Magazine identified Sierra Leone’s 100 Most Influential Youth 2018/19.
The awards were given on Tuesday 30th April at The renowned Family Kingdom Resort. According to the organisers of the consortium, “the Award ceremony is to honour young Sierra Leonean youths that are creating impacts in the lives of other Sierra Leoneans and making the country excel.”
FePYoCAN believes that the 100 Most Influential Youth in their different capacities will continue to play a vital role in society, using their voices to influence young people across the country.
Amongst the awardees ; Fatima Sesay of Unimax Company SL Ltd – She has made prominent strides in Sierra Leone’s Entrepreneurship scene. Her company has created sustainable livelihoods for hundreds of youths across Serrai Leone.
FANTACEE WIZ
Fanta Kamara aka Fantacee Wiz a Sierra Leonean multiple award winning traditional folk singer born in Kabala and raised in Freetown . She has a background in ICT(IT) with a passion for the performing arts .
Awardee/AMB : Ms. Phebean Swill – Leading Broadcaster/ AYV MEDIA EMPIRE
Prior to this they organised a public lecture known as the 1st NATIONAL YOUTH DIALOGUE, with the inclusion of 60 amongst the 100 Most Influential Youth that supported a public lectures across Sierra Leone from the 13th – 25th April 2019.
